Street Food Extravaganza

Last week at Regis University, the Ranger Dining team hosted the Fall Semester WOW Event. WOW Events are special, semesterly dining experiences that are hosted to inspire culinary exploration and community building at Regis. The entire dining hall was transformed into a vibrant Street Food Extravaganza, with every meal station serving up an exciting selection of street food, from bao buns to Chicago-style hot dogs. Students were even able to put their own creative culinary skills to the test at the DIY flavored lemonade stand, ice cream sundae bar, and noodle stand!

Regis student Heather Ramsey states, “It was so refreshing to get to take a step back from the stress of midterm essays and exams and really soak in the atmosphere at the event. Students got to enjoy the company of friends, a variety of crafts and activities including bracelet-making and candy kebabs, and of course—the delicious food prepared by the Ranger Dining team. The entire cafeteria was lit up with joy all night, and whether it was from enjoying the food, music, or being captivated by the walking magician, it felt like laughter was contagious! This semester’s WOW event was surely one for the books; we can’t wait to see what the Ranger Dining team has in store for the next one!”

In addition to the wide array of street food classics, Harvest Table brought in a strolling magician, friendship bracelet stations, and canvases for painting. Students could enjoy their meals with the entertainment of their choosing, whether it was marveling at the magician’s tricks, crafting their own unique bracelets, or expressing their creativity on canvas. This blend of culinary delights and engaging activities created a lively atmosphere, allowing students to relax and connect with friends while indulging in the festive spirit of the event.
