Meal Exchanges Are Here
When we received our DiningStyles survey responses, one common theme emerged: students wanted more flexibility in how they used their swipes each week. In response to these requests and a drive to enhance campus dining options, Regis University has launched a new meal equivalency program designed to offer greater flexibility and convenience for its students. This initiative, which officially rolls out in Fall 2024, is part of a broader effort to modernize dining services and address the evolving needs of the university community.
The new program, a collaborative effort between Regis University and its dining services partner, Harvest Table, introduces Grubhub, the popular food ordering platform. This upgrade marks a significant leap forward in how students can manage their meal plans and access dining options on campus.
The meal equivalency program allows students to use a set number of exchanges for specified meals at various retail locations on campus. These locations include popular spots like Lou’s Diner and Walker’s Pub. With this program, students can select from a range of meal options and redeem their meal plan allowances seamlessly.
The integration of Grubhub into campus dining is a game-changer for students, offering the added benefit of ordering ahead and skipping the line. Through the Grubhub app, students can browse menus, place orders, and pay directly from their phones. This means that during busy periods, students can avoid long waits and streamline their dining experience.
Harvest Table, which manages dining operations at Regis University, has been working diligently to implement this new software program. Their commitment to improving campus dining is evident in the thoughtful planning and execution of this initiative.
The launch of this new program has already been met with positive feedback from the student body. Many students have expressed excitement about the increased flexibility and convenience it provides. As the semester progresses, university officials anticipate that the program will continue to receive strong support and contribute to a more dynamic and satisfying campus dining environment.
Please note that each meal plan will receive a set number of retail swipes each week. These swipes count as part of the total weekly swipes but can be ‘exchanged’ at locations outside of the main dining hall.
