Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

Harvest Table Culinary Group is thrilled to announce a vibrant series of events in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. This special celebration will spotlight the rich culinary traditions of Hispanic cultures, showcasing a variety of traditional dishes that honor the history and flavors of each region.

The festivities will be guided by the talented student organization, SOMOS. Each week, SOMOS will curate a new recipe, diving into the history and evolution of each dish, offering both a culinary delight and a cultural lesson.

The series will kick off with Enchiladas Rojas, a that holds a special place in Mexican cuisine. Dating back to the Aztec era, enchiladas began as simple tortillas wrapped around various fillings. Over the centuries, this dish has evolved, now featuring a robust red chile sauce that imparts a deep, vibrant flavor beloved by many in Mexico and beyond.

Adding to the excitement, Regis Student Nick Navarrete will present his family’s traditional salsa, a closely guarded secret recipe that promises to add a unique and authentic touch to the event. Guests will also enjoy refreshing beverages including Agua frescas and horchata, rounding out the culinary experience.
